This is us
Hotel Sandvig Havn is run by us, Lene and Kjeld Hammer. We took over the hotel in January 2019 and in the following months we restored and redecorated the hotel.
We want to embrace a wide audience where both families, couples, singles and the aging genesis can feel comfortable and welcome.
We hope you will feel at home and enjoy your stay with us.

Here at Hotel Sandvig Havn and Dideriks Veranda, we are working to make ourselves as green as we can, based on the economy that can support it! We must all think towards green development so that the next generations can live in a healthier world!
But how green are we?
And even though we are not 100% green, we are proud of the initiatives we have taken and work based on:
New 3-layer windows and doors
Recycling of furniture both at the hotel and in the cafe/shop
Pallet furniture in our outdoor area
Delivery of furniture, lamps, curtains, etc. to a place where they are needed
District heating
Electric water heaters removed in most apartments
Water-saving showers
Sorting glass, cardboard, paper, electronics, metal, batteries,
Energy-saving lights
Using sustainable and hypoallergenic cleaning products, where we use a minimum of water
Cleaning only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for permanent guests
We ask our guests not to have their towels changed every day.
Hypoallergenic and sustainable duvets and pillows
The laundry we use focuses on sustainability, including by using Miele and its laundry products, which have been awarded the Green Seal label.
Purchasing organic, local and Danish food and beverages - as much as possible.
Own herbs and fruits in the garden
Focus on food waste
Focus on social interaction Focus on good mood and atmosphere
Focus on employee well-being
Focus on ensuring that the store products are sustainable and local/Danish as much as possible. And for foreign products, we focus on which policies the supplier works from!
We haven't gotten where we want to be... but we're well on our way🤗
